Thursday Prompt 3.30.23

One afternoon a few years ago while waiting at a small pharmacy for my parents’ prescriptions, I noticed these items side by side. I swear this is a first. ‘I don’t get it’ I thought. I contemplated the meaning or a reference as to why? Once back in Tucson, every time I went to a pharmacy, I noticed these same two items snuggled up against one another. ‘I don’t get it.’

Write your thoughts, commentary, essay, or story, as to…and have a ball. (No pun intended.)

  1. Micro fiction: “If only he had reached to the right before leaving the pharmacy, she would not have had to return and reach to the left to confirm what she felt was true but really hoped was not true. If he had, I would not be here to tell this brief tale.”

  2. not sure if this got lost in cyberspace or if it has already posted…?
My microfiction response to your prompt:
“If he had reached to the right before leaving the pharmacy that evening, she would not have needed to return to reach to the left to confirm what she thought was true and hoped was not. But had he reached to the right and she had never needed to reach to the left, I would not be here to tell this tale.”
