Welcome to our blog website. Writing melded with dedication and friendship tied the three of us together for nearly twenty-five years. We are not professionals. That is, we are not paid for our writing. We are compelled by our love of words. A writer is anyone who strives to examine their innermost thoughts and imagination by putting pen to paper or tapping away on a keyboard. We were encouraged by teachers and mentors to record our journey as we managed the group and stayed together for such a long time. The book that evolved, Telling Tales and Sharing Secrets was released on September 6, 2022. In this blog, we share news of our path to publication with its sideroads and roadblocks, as well as updates on group dynamics through essays, stories, and poems. We will provide a prompt each Thursday for your group. We invite you, dear reader, to comment or ask questions. Our goal is to encourage writers to create groups that support the craft of writing, explore and expand creativity, and build long-lasting friendships. See a link below to an article about our group and book published in the Explorer Newspaper, September 28, 2022 with the full text on the Our Book page.. We are also written about in the Lovin’ Life After 50, October issue, and The Marana News, September 28th issue. Sheila Bender, a noted poet and teacher, highlighted our group in her January 2023 Writing It Real newsletter. A link below connects to that article. Please check out our posts and scroll down for a full list of our COMING EVENTS.

GREAT NEWS: We have been selected to participate in the Tucson Festival of Books! The Festival and ALL events are free. Please join us. The three of us will be there Saturday, March 4th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Indie Author Tent. It is a great event. America’s third-largest book festival, annually attracting more than 130,000 visitors to the University of Arizona campus during spring break, the Tucson Festival of Books is second to none in terms of public accessibility and the quality of its author panels. Authors such as Cara Black, Luis Alberto Urrea, Rosemary Simpson, John Sandford, J.A. Jance, Robert Crais, and Tom Zoeller will be among dozens of well loved writers who will participate on panels during the Festival.

COMING EVENTS: Jackie will come down from her perch in the Rocky Mountains to join us once again in person. We “book-ended” our Festival of Books appearance with two scheduled reading/signing appearances at Barnes and Noble to highlight her trip.

Friday, March 3rd at Barnes and Nobel, 530 E. Broadway, Tucson from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Sunday, March 5th at Barnes and Noble at the Foothills Mall, Tucson from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

We will read stories from our book and sign copies that you bring or buy. Please join us. We would love to meet you and hear what you have to say about our book and answer any questions you may have about writers’ groups or the publishing process. We were total newbies to the editing/publishing world and acquired a real education over the year-long process.
